What’s the series about?
The six-episode series will showcase Senna’s journey of triumphs, disappointments, joys, and sorrows, unveiling his personality and personal relationships. It begins with the start of the three-time Formula 1 champion’s motor racing career, when he moves to England to compete in Formula Ford, and continues up until his fatal accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix.
Who plays Ayrton Senna?
Gabriel Leone takes on the lead role. “It’s a massive responsibility but also a tremendous honor to portray an icon who inspired so many throughout his life and showcased Brazilian sporting talent globally. Knowing that we’ll share his story with millions across various countries via Netflix makes this one of the most significant roles of my career,” shared the Brazilian actor.

Where was the series filmed?
In locations that mirror the most pivotal races and life events of the driver: in Brazil, particularly São Paulo and Angra dos Reis, as well as in Argentina, Uruguay, and the United Kingdom.
Who stars alongside Gabriel Leone?
To portray family members, romantic partners, and other F1 icons like Ron Dennis, Frank Williams, Alain Prost, Nelson Piquet, etc., the directors enlisted Brazilian and Portuguese actors including Julia Foti, Matt Mella, and Pâmela Tomé.
