Well, hello summer. Light, airy, colorful styles are the order of the day. That’s why at TAG Heuer, we offer you a wide range of wrist candy. Our straps are made from all sorts of materials: metal, leather, nylon, rubber. And now we’re introducing a set of stylish straps, ideal for summer wear. Say hello to our new range of textile watch straps.

From nets to wrists

The lifecycle of a fishing net is about a year. Once it completes its lifecycle, the net is often worn out and beyond repair. To avoid waste, these fishing nets are recycled and turned into sustainable materials. It’s a great way to give new life to discarded objects. As creators of dive watches, we’ve used these recycled materials to make 4 new kinds of sustainable straps—the perfect companions for our Aquaracer watches. The straps symbolize the Aquaracer collection’s dedication to divers.

From scraps to straps

Our new straps are made from 100% recycled fishing nets. They’re water-resistant, practical and they come with polished steel buckles. The straps are compatible with our Aquaracer Professional 300 43mm and 36mm models. The first style is half black and half gray, with a thin yellow line splitting the two colors through the middle (available in 43mm and 36mm). The second type of strap is half dark blue and half light blue, separated again by the thin yellow line in the middle (available in 43mm and 36mm).

You can also get your hands on our Aquaracer strap changing tool. This hexagon-shaped strap assistant is made from black anodized aluminum. The handy stainless steel head at the top makes it easy for you to change your strap whenever you like. Here’s how:

  1. Use the tool to gently pull the spring bars off your current strap. This should help you separate your current strap from the lugs of your watch. (Be careful not to scratch the lugs!)
  2. Now slip the same spring bars into your new strap.
  3. Align the spring bars with the watch lugs and fit them in using the Aquaracer strap changing tool.
