In the early 20th century, when racing was still young, the British used the color Racing Green, the Italians made Rosso Corsa their own and the Germans were known as the Silver Arrows. The French also chose a color that still resonates with the nation’s identity. They called the distinct hue bleu de France or French Racing Blue. This traditional racing color is now reimagined in our latest timepiece – the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue.

This classy racing watch is a tribute to the early years of racing, when countries competed not for manufacturers or corporations, but for national pride. The watch captures the essence of this bygone era, sporting an alluring combination of varied blue shades, directly inspired by French Racing Blue.

Adding to the vibrancy, the timepiece features lime yellow accents. These splashes of yellow offset the cooler blues, delivering a fresh, exciting contrast. All these elements come together harmoniously to encapsulate the thrill of the racetrack.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue is not just a feast for the eyes. It bears an intricate silver sunray brushed dial that provides a carrosserie finish, accentuating the watch’s racing roots. With 8 silver sub counters and lighter 12 blue minute dots, the dial makes reading the time easy. A 12-hour marker in yellow complements the captivating mix of racing colors. The watch also comes with blue Super-LumiNova® indexes that match the hour and minute hands. This, coupled with a lime yellow lacquered central hand, enhances visibility in any condition. Another thing you might notice is the placement of the crown. It’s on the left hand side of the watch, just like on the original TAG Heuer Monaco.  A reminder that you don’t have to wind the watch manually.

The timepiece is powered by our in-house Caliber 11 movement. Encased in a titanium grade 2 sandblasted case, the mechanism can be admired through a transparent caseback. The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue comes with a blue calfskin strap, perforated to resemble racing gloves. Secured with a steel folding clasp engraved with the TAG Heuer logo, it’s a fitting tribute to motorsport.

With only 1000 pieces available, the watch’s caseback is engraved with its limited edition number, making it a collector’s dream.
