Watches Pink Power

The TAG Heuer Monaco is a truly game-changing watch. When it was first released in 1969, it was the first square chronograph. It quickly became associated with the high-adrenaline world of motorsports, thanks to its starring spot on the wrist of Steve McQueen in 1971’s Le Mans, a role that transformed this powerful design into a pop culture myth.
This latest take on the iconic design fuses a striking, contemporary aesthetic with the legacy of the model, creating a link to the racing heritage that is as powerful today as ever. The dial is in the striking skeleton design, first unveiled in 2023, offering an unprecedented view of the Calibre TH20-00, a modern column-wheel chronograph with 80 hours of power reserve. The open design of the dial boasts a strong geometric design that amplifies the geometry of the case, and the squared-off chronograph registers with a refined layout, made even more impactful because of the new electric colour scheme.
Most of the watch is clad in black, from the lightweight grade 2 titanium case with a black DLC coating to the strap made from embossed black calfskin and rubber. This sporty, technical look is taken to the next level with the vivid pink accents. The bold colour follows the lines of the skeletonised architecture, as well as the hands and hour markers, to create an unmistakably modern version of the TAG Heuer Monaco, directly inspired by bright lights and the vibrant atmosphere of the entertainment capital of the world.
The pink details are even picked up on the caseback, with the column wheel — visible at 12 — and the text on the oscillating weight highlighted in the neon hue. This new TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph represents a technical, sporty new era for the indomitable timepiece.
