LIFESTYLE Time out: the art of motion, designed by Lois O’Hara

By drawing inspiration from the energy and movement of the city, artist and designer Lois O’Hara captures the essence of time, speed and innovation.

The concept of time, its fleeting nature and the way it shapes our lives, has fascinated the human race for centuries. From artists and writers to watchmakers and automobile designers, everyone interprets time in different ways. Time is also one of the cornerstones of our special relationship with Porsche. We both view time as an ally and a challenger. We’ve been racing against time or working with it to create some of our most exhilarating innovations. That’s why we’ve adorned the walls of our Oxford Street boutique in London with an art piece that captures our tryst with time.

An ode to energy and motion

As part of a series of artworks commissioned for our flagship stores around the world, we asked multi-disciplinary artist and designer Lois O’Hara (@loisohara) to create an artwork that captures time and speed. Her vibrant and unique style, with its powerful strokes and patterns, is a tribute to the energy and movement that defines both TAG Heuer and Porsche.

Art that moves you

Lois explores how color can have a positive effect on people and places. Her artwork puts people in a state of flow, and her signature approach, characterized by eye-catching color combinations and flowing curves, seeks to move people both physically and emotionally.

Lois’ artwork comes together to create a visual narrative that speaks of motion and invention. It connects us to the world and leads us on a journey of discovery. Inspired by TAG Heuer timepieces, Lois uses the contrast between the straight lines of the watch band and the curves of the watchface, much like a winding road that invites you to explore the unknown. The resulting artwork is not just a feast for the eyes, it’s an experience that leaves you feeling invigorated and ready to seize the moment.

To discover Lois O’Hara’s artwork in-person, you can visit our TAG Heuer boutique on Oxford Street in central London.
