SPORT Monaco 2025: TAG Heuer sets the pace for a historic Grand Prix
3min
It’s one of the most anticipated weekends in the Formula 1® calendar. And once again, it lived up to every expectation. The streets of Monaco were alive with razor-sharp performances, blistering speed through tight corners, game-changing race strategies, and nonstop intensity from the first to the final lap of this 82nd edition of the Grand Prix de Monaco.
But beyond the pit lane and the asphalt, the weekend’s energy centered around Bougainville, TAG Heuer’s iconic yacht moored in the Port of Monaco. A true rendez-vous point for VIP guests and international talent, the yacht offered a stunning setting for parties that once again left a lasting impression. The standout moment? Saturday night, featuring a live performance by Lola Young, a DJ set by Naomi Campbell, and an electrifying finale by Kavinsky.
Among the high-profile attendees were TAG Heuer ambassadors Lee Jung-Jae, Christian Horner, Naomi Schiff, and Patrick Dempsey, as well as Oracle Red Bull Racing drivers Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda—not to mention a host of close friends of the Maison.
“This moment captures everything our Maison stands for: racing, creativity, precision, and the people who drive us forward. We’re proud to share this energy with the Principality, our partners, and the entire TAG Heuer family,” said Antoine Pin, CEO of TAG Heuer.
Three bold new timepieces celebrating the spirit of racing
One of the weekend’s highlights was the reveal of three new timepieces celebrating TAG Heuer’s racing heritage.
- TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Gulf: A tribute to the spirit of Le Mans (1971) and Steve McQueen. Limited to 971 pieces, this watch sports Gulf’s signature colors on a silver opaline dial and a Nomex strap made by the same manufacturer as McQueen’s original racing suit.
- TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch: Inspired by vintage timing instruments from the 1970s, this limited edition of 970 pieces features a red minute track framed by a black DLC-coated titanium case. It’s powered by the iconic Calibre 11.
- TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph: A technical masterpiece, this model in grade 5 titanium (weighing just 85 grams) is equipped with the TH81-00 calibre, one of the lightest and most complex rattrapante chronographs ever made.
Oracle Red Bull Racing faces fierce competition
On the racing side, it was a mixed weekend for Oracle Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen finished 4th behind a dominant Lando Norris (McLaren), who converted pole position into a commanding victory. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) claimed 2nd on home turf, followed by Oscar Piastri (McLaren). Yuki Tsunoda, meanwhile, missed out on a top-5 finish.
Next up: the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, where Oracle Red Bull Racing will aim to bounce back against increasingly sharp competition. With the championship wide open, fans can expect plenty more twists and turns ahead.
