For surfboards and boardrooms
The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT comes with a bi-color ceramic bezel inlay. This gives it a fresh, sporty look. It’s the kind of timepiece that seamlessly suits your style, whether you’re on your surfboard, wading around colorful corals, or in a boardroom. You also get the option of choosing between a steel bracelet or a refined rubber strap, both fitted with a steel buckle that’s equipped with a fine adjusted system.
Its combination of colors makes it stand out from other GMT complications. Its design helps make sure that, when you’re diving, surfing, exploring or working across different time zones, you can always stay on top of the time back home. No voyage is too complicated for this GMT complication.
So, how do you set and read the TAG Heuer Aquaracer GMT watch?
A few quick notes before you begin setting your watch. The timepiece comes with an orange GMT hand that completes one full rotation a day. That is, 24 hours. To complement this, the watch is equipped with a bi-directional GMT bezel that has a 24-hour scale and comes in two colors. The white half of the bezel tells you it’s day time. And the gray half of the bezel tells you it’s night time.
How to set your watch for 2 different time zones
- Set the GMT hand to your current local time based on the 24-hour scale. Let’s say, as an example, you set it to 17:00 (5pm) and you’re in London.
- Now, set the hour hand to the current time on the 12-hour scale. Your watch shows the current local time, on both the 24-hour scale (17:00 hours) and the 12-hour scale (5:00pm).
- You can now use the rotating bezel to represent your second time zone. For example, you’re in London and it’s 17:00 (5pm). But maybe you want to keep track of the time in your New York office, which is 5 hours behind you. You simply rotate the bezel clockwise to go back 5 hours. (Counter clockwise takes you forward in time.)
- Now the GMT hand will show the 24-hour time scale in New York. It should point to 12:00 hours.

How to set your watch for 3 different time zones
- First, set up the orange GMT hand to GMT time. Then have the hour hand set to your current local time. For example, you’re in Paris. The GMT time is 22:00 hours (10pm). And the local time is 12am.
- Now you can use the bezel to represent a third time zone by rotating it. So, say you want to know the time in New York again. Simply rotate your bezel clockwise, to – 5. So you go 5 hours behind GMT. There you go, the time in New York is 5pm (17:00 hours).
So you’ve got 3 different time zones, all on your wrist !
